Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Amelia and Mike Green have faced numerous challenges in their lives, any one of which could have derailed their ambitions to run 26.2 miles. But the couple will line up to tackle the Boston Marathon on Patriots’ Day this year, a testament to their faith, unity, and determination.
The Hopkinton Public Schools Music Department hosted and participated in the 2022 Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association Concert and Choral Festival the weekend of April 1-3. Hopkinton took home a number of awards, led by the Hopkinton High School concert band winning a gold medal.
The Hopkinton Fire Department was among the first responders to a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 495 South just past the MassPike exit Friday morning.
The Hopkinton Police Association will host the annual Kids Fishing Derby on May 14 at the Hopkinton Sportsmen’s Association on Lumber Street. This free event is for ages 15 and under who live in Hopkinton and surrounding towns.
Town meetings tonight include the Appropriation Committee (6), Zoning Advisory Committee (7) and Parks & Recreation (7).
