Town clerk notes error on census forms

by | Jan 17, 2022 |

Town Clerk Connor Degan noted an error on the census forms that recently were mailed to every household in town to track the annual population and maintain voter lists.

Degan explained that the town vendor added a column for “gender” with data from the “mail to” column, making it appear as a “Y” or “N.”

Wrote Degan: “Please disregard this column, we do not collect gender information and we will simply use that as an extension of the ‘mail to’ column. I apologize for any confusion this may cause and will ensure this does not happen again.”
