Main Street Corridor Project update: Manholes to be installed, Marathon Way to be closed

by | Apr 22, 2022 | News

The Main Street Corridor Project will continue over the next two weeks with the installation of electric manholes as well as Comcast and telephone manholes at the intersection of Hayden Rowe Street and Main Street, the town announced.

Traffic on Main Street will remain open in both directions while the work is being performed along the centerline of the roadway.

There also will be saw cuts for vaults and duct banks, located mainly between Church Street and Ash Street.

Additionally, a fence will be set up along the north side of the Town Common, and the abutting Marathon Way will be closed throughout the current construction season as it will be used as a lay-down area. Materials will be moved from Marshall Avenue to Marathon Way over the next week.
