ARRESTS

 

March 17

1:57 a.m. Officer Ryan Polselli conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street and Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officer Derek Morton responded as backup. Luis Rivera Falcon, 59, of 135 Main St., Upton was arrested and charged with marked lanes violation and OUI liquor, third offense.

 

March 22

8:15 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator on South Street. Officers Derek Morton and Jay Deiana and Sergeant Timothy Brennan responded and subsequently arrested Arnaldo S. Afonso, 64, of 40A Camp Road, Milford, and charge him with OUI liquor and marked lanes violation.

March 10

5:04 p.m. Officer Ryan Polselli responded along with the Fire Department to a Stagecoach Way residence. Burnt food was the reason for the alarm activation. The system was reset.

 

March 11

5:33 a.m. The State Police reported a one-car rollover on Interstate 495 prior to Exit 21A with entrapment and injuries. The vehicle was submerged in water. Multiple officers, an ambulance and rescue team responded. One man, the driver, was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

5:13 p.m. Sergeant John Porter and Officer Derek Morton responded to a report of a car that hit a pole on Main Street. The vehicle left the scene before the officers’ arrival. Verizon was contacted.

6:40 p.m. A Wood Street caller reported his son was assaulted by three males. Officers Arthur Schofield and Derek Morton responded and reported the victim did not want to cooperate.

 

March 12

2:34 p.m. A Falcon Ridge Drive resident reported a suspicious silver Honda in her driveway. Officer Stephen Buckley responded and the vehicle was gone upon his arrival. The Upton Police Department was advised. The reporting person called back and stated the vehicle also had been parked in her neighbor’s driveway.

 

March 13

5:18 p.m. A caller reported workers at a construction site on Lincoln Street left an excavator running. Officer John Corridan responded and remedied the issue. The construction company was notified.

8:32 p.m. A Church Street caller reported the odor of gas inside the house. Officer Philip Powers responded along with the Fire Department. The odor was traced back to the motor in an exhaust fan.

 

March 14

1:31 p.m. Officers William Burchard, Arthur Schofield and Panagiotis Hontzeas responded to a motor vehicle accident involving five cars on Lumber Street. An ambulance and a tow truck were requested. Two people refused treatment. A report was to follow.

 

March 16

9:01 a.m. A motorist reported a person hitchhiking on Cedar Street. Sergeant Scott van Raalten and Officer Arthur Schofield responded and provided a courtesy transport to the Southborough town line.

4:32 p.m. A caller reported a possibly intoxicated man entered his truck, left TJ’s parking lot, and headed toward Milford. Officers Derek Morton and Ryan Polselli responded and were unable to locate the vehicle.

 

March 17

6:47 p.m. A caller reported a person living in a vehicle on Amherst Road. The caller also requested a check of two RVs parked in front of another house on Amherst Road with others possibly living inside. Officer Panagiotis Hontzeas and Sergeant Timothy Brennan responded and checked the area with a negative find.

8:02 p.m. A motorist stuck in a snow bank on South Street requested assistance. Officers Philip Powers and Panagiotis Hontzeas and Sergeant Timothy Brennan responded and requested a tow.

 

March 18

7:52 a.m. Officers Stephen Buckley and Panagiotis Hontzeas responded to a report of a minor school bus accident on Cedar Street Extension while children were onboard. Mirror damage was reported. No personal injuries were reported.

3:30 p.m. A caller reported some of his tools were stolen from a job site on Cobbler’s Way. The caller did not want to file a report but wanted the theft logged.

4:37 p.m. A caller reported finding someone living in his car on Amherst Road. Sergeant Timothy Brennan and Officer Derek Morton responded. A report was to follow.

 

March 20

12:30 p.m. Officer Jay Deiana investigated vandalism on Hayden Rowe Street.

3:25 p.m. A caller reported illegal dumping of a refrigerator on School Street. The DPW was notified.

6:02 p.m. A caller reported a grill fire on Maple Street. Officers Philip Powers and Jay Deiana responded along with the Fire Department. The fire was extinguished upon their arrival.

6:18 p.m. A concerned Downey Street caller reported her neighbor was heavily medicated and drove his car in to a pole and was going back in to his garage for his truck. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officers Jay Deiana and Philip Powers responded, and a report was to follow.

 

March 22

3:06 a.m. On Main Street, Sergeant Matthew McNeil checked on a hitchhiker and subsequently provided him with a courtesy transport to Ashland.

10:15 p.m. Officers Brian Sanchioni and Jay Deiana and a canine officer attempted to serve court papers to a person at a Front Street residence, but nobody was home.

 

March 23

10:17 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley assisted an injured runner on a training run by transporting him from Legacy Farms North back to Center School on Ash Street.

12:19 p.m. A customer of a West Main Street store reported her vehicle was struck while she was inside shopping. Officer Stephen Buckley responded and took a report.

 

March 24

10:15 a.m. A caller reported a dog that lives on Huckleberry Road attacked her dog while they were walking in the neighborhood. A message was left for the animal control officer.

2:56 p.m. A caller reported his friend started a brush fire in the woods on Frankland Road. Officer Philip Powers responded along with the Fire Department and the fire was extinguished.

9:17 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle crashed into a tree on Ash Street. Officers Preston Mucciarone and Philip Powers responded along with the Fire Department. An ambulance transported one person to the hospital. A tow truck was requested.

 

March 25

8:23 a.m. A caller reported a road rage incident on Hayden Rowe Street. Officers Stephen Buckley and Arthur Schofield responded and reported no violations were observed.

4:33 p.m. A caller reported two people shoplifting at a Main Street store. Officer John Corridan responded and took a report.
