Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

Hopkinton voters will help choose a new state representative for the redrawn Middlesex 8th District on Nov. 8 in a contest between veteran political activist James Arena-DeRosa (D-Holliston) and communications industry expert Loring Barnes (R-Millis), a former Millis Select Board member.

This week’s Police Log includes two arrests along with multiple reports of dogs attacking people and other dogs, as well as a dog being killed by a car on East Main Street.

Our latest Business Profile highlights My House Partners, a RE/MAX Executive Realty team that boasts 57 years of real estate experience across its three agents.

This week’s Hillers Thrillers Athlete Spotlight shines on Drew Morse. The team’s senior captain and No. 1 golfer all season, Morse led the Hillers to an undefeated regular season.

Town meetings tonight include the Lake Maspenock Weed Management and Control Advisory Group (5) and School Committee (6:30).
